This recipe was an experiment gone right, not only right, a home run! We took our homemade rum cake recipe, nixed the rum, and added fresh lemon juice. We make a lemon syrup with butter, sugar and fresh lemon juice. The syrup seeps down into the cake like a sponge. This moist cake will melt in your mouth and perk a kiss on your front porch. Free Sweet Saturday Cake orders must include one regular price entree.

A little dry but good.

A little dry but good. I think a runnier lemon glaze would help make it more moist.

It was okay....

It was just okay. It arrived upside down, so icing was stuck to top of container. Nothing made it stand out from a lemon cake you could buy at a store but it was still good.
