A bowl of charro beans done right is one of the great comforts of Tex-Mex cooking, and this one earns its place at the table.

We slow-simmer pinto beans in a seasoned broth built on smoky ham, sautéed onions, garlic, peppers, and tomatoes until every bean is tender and the broth is deep with flavor. Fresh cilantro, cumin, and smoked paprika round out the seasoning for an authentic, well-balanced bowl with just the right kick.

This soup is perfect for a lazy Sunday meal or a quick lunch during the week. Always made fresh in our Dallas kitchen and delivered chilled, never frozen, straight to your front porch across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

We loved the beans - very tasty! There were a few ham pieces that weren’t the best, but overall we liked this dish!
