    Bright, tangy, and balanced with just the right touch of sweetness, a great Key Lime Pie is one of those desserts that earns its reputation every single time.

    We build ours on a pressed crust made of graham crackers, real butter, and toasted pecans for a nutty, buttery base with genuine texture. The filling is a scratch-made custard of fresh key lime juice, lime zest, egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, and pure Madagascar vanilla bean resulting in a smooth, bright, and properly tart filling. On top, a generous layer of homemade whipped heavy cream is dusted with powdered sugar and finished with a drizzle of house-made caramel ganache.

    Tasty but the texture is a bit gummy.

    To start off, something impacted FPP's shipping box and the key lime must have thrown itself in front of the team; it took the brunt of the blow. The cream layer was pretty much smashed. That isn't on FPP. The flavor was very similar to a key lime you'd get at a seafood place for dessert. However, by halfway through, it was getting pretty claggy and dense. It could have been much lighter in my view.

    I have ordered this before and absolutely loved it, however, this time it was dense, no flavor and the crust was hard.
